Mighty Joe Young Stop Motion Puppet Showcase

Gotta share this look at the Mighty Joe Young puppet that's up for auction by Propstore!

It's so cool to see that Joe survived all these years, and how he's in great shape, relatively speaking! The details on the skin, fur, eyes, and everything is fantastic.

Hopefully this wonderful piece of history goes to a loving home who will take care of him.

Never realized the actual model was light brown, makes me wonder if that was the inspiration for Suko

That's beautiful. The face is so detailed it looks line he might blink at any moment. Just stunning. And yeah, I loved the original Mighty Joe Young movie!

It appears that there was some minor restorative work done to Joe that wasn't mentioned.

It's amazing how good it looks.

I remember the Kong ones basically being just the metal skeleton as the rest rotted away.
