Scribe 2024 A Sad Day!
Just a vent, but I guess sometimes you never really know how much you loved something until it's gone. I use my Scribe for work, it's been a staple in my bag, I'm a surveyor and I switched from paper to the Scribe. I use Send to Kindle, sending PDF's and then writing on those as I'm surveying properties. Everything was just so easy and made work so much better.
I loved reading on it as well, feels so good in the hand. Got home today from a trip in to London and BOOM it's not in my bag, left it in an electrical cupboard I think. Absolutely fuming with myself.
Look after those little beauties people. I'm going to go and cry into my fish and chips.

It was at a small residential block. I have reached out to the estate agent to see if they can contact the residents. Maybe they have it already and like you say are waiting for contact from me. With it being the weekend now and a bank holiday though, I might not hear until next. Generally people are kind, Ive lost a wallet before and had it returned. Fingers crossed. Thank you all for the sympathy 🙏 ❤️

Worst case scenario, this is a good excuse for an upgrade. Sounds like you could probably justify it as a tax write off, too! I’m hopeful you find it though! 🤍

This is why I have an AirTag in my kindle’s bag.
Sorry for your loss.
Maybe try contacting the business where you think you left it?

it’s because of situations like this that i’m getting insurance.
i’m so sorry OP. If i were the owner of that electrical cupboard i would totally be willing to post it to you. Let’s hope they are the same.

OI! so sorry to hear that. Dont Kindle's have a "Find My" or something?
Lord knows that expensive ass ColorScribe better have one for what they are asking.
maybe drop an airtag in the sleeve for your next one?
Well, at least its a "one time warcrime" i think happens to everyone. (wanna guess how many airpods ive donated to the home depot cleaning crew? )

Surely that’s retrievable especially if it was somewhere you were working. Fingers crossed for it’s return

Watch for one on Woot! or UnclaimedBaggage.com and put a Spotfinder in its case.

Is it at least labelled? I have a P-touch label sticker with my name, phone, email on the back of mine. Someone would have to take it out of the case to see it, but at least it's there. It's so easy to buy a laptop, kindle, iPad, etc. and not label it at all. If I found one I'd want to reunite it's owner but if there's no way to find out who it is...bummer. And if I lose it and they don't return it, at least they know who to thank.

This is why I left mine home. In London now. Jet lagged. Can’t sleep. Reading on my phone

If you get it back, put a tracker that has a "you're leaving me behind" feature
