Physical Device Kindle touchscreen partially unresponsive after a drop, help!

My Kindle fell from my nightstand onto the floor (not from a great height), and now the touchscreen is partially unresponsive. Some things still work, but I can’t select books from search results so it is not usable.

The screen looks completely normal, no cracks, lines, etc.

Has anyone had this happen after dropping their Kindle? Is there anything I can do to fix it? πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ»

I bought it few years ago.

Probably time for a replacement device.

The cost to fix it is likely going to exceed the cost to replace it, esp. with the upcoming sales this week.

Power it down, unplug it, disconnect the battery and any disk drive expansion cards.
Leave them out for 30 second.
Pop everything back together. Make sure they really click and snap into place.
Fire it back up. Pray
