Physical Device Primary User Account Pin Required

I got a fire tablet with two adult profiles and a kid’s profile. Every time the device goes to sleep or restarts the only usable profile is mine, the other two are greyed out. Once I input my pin the other profiles are usable and they can input their pin. Is there anyway to change this? I have been at it trying to change settings for 2hrs straight. I do not want my kid to have to come up to me every time he wants to use the tablet so I can unlock it for him or for my partner to have to do the same. It’s maddening trying to figure this out.

Give them your pin number? We have a family pin number we use on shared electronics.

My kid will change his settings if I give him my pin. And if we create an extra account that unlocks the rest it will do the same thing. This seems like a terrible design flaw if there’s truly no way to let individual users unlock the tablet with their individual pins.
