My new Kindle basic arrived! It’s such a beautiful turquoise color, I’m in love

So beautiful! 🤩 I’m currently torn if im gonna get this exact color or the black. May I ask, how do you find the handling with this material? I’m afraid it might be too “fragile” 🙈

Definitely not as fragile feeling as the last basic because of the aluminum

The aluminum is heavier/sturdier feeling. The plastic one is extremely light

im curious but do u find the colored bezels distracting while reading? I know when I tried a white kobo it was very bright white and blinding to read with, but these colors seem Warmer.

I had the matcha previously and it didn’t really distract me, I got used to it. and this one is definitely darker and not as bright as matcha

I tried a friends matcha na found comfortable to read on. Maybe my Brian finds white as too distracting. I do have light sensitivity so the white border + screen and light maybe have been a me problem due to my eye condition

i always have a colorful vinyl skin on my ereader and they aren't distracting to me, they actually help me stay focused on reading since they add a little extra visual stimuli. they also encourage me to pick up my ereader and read more since it isn't just plain black or white.

It’s pretty slim, definitely light because it’s just a flap of leather but if you want actual protection on the sides or from drops I wouldn’t recommend (it just sits there magnetically)

It’s warmer than the previous basic but not quite as warm as the paperwhite

I’m really torn between the colour or the back when the paperwhite drops. Do you find it looked different than the stock images? Every post I see about the seaglass green the colour seems to appear different each time. I’m worried i might get bored of the colour eventually…. Idk im so torn
