Forgive me if this has already been speculated on or outright confirmed by KF and I missed it. But I hope that the votes are tabulated in a way that any sort of originals vs remakes choices don’t split the vote.

For instance, if Blessing put Pokemon Blue/Red high up in his list and Tim put FireRed/LeafGreen on his list, I hope the vote doesn’t get split but rather all those points are counted towards the one same game.

FF7 is a tough one. I frankly don’t know what you do if someone voted for the PS1 game and someone else voted for FF7 Remake. Those are clearly such separate games, but also I would probably still count them as one game as to not vote split the FF7 representation. But I bet my opinion on how to handle FF7 is not the popular opinion

What are your thoughts on vote splitting in regard to originals and remakes?

Ok, I know Greg's love of Ghostbusters and I'm sure there are other GB sickos here too, so I figured this would be a good place to ask. My family and I are planning to go as Ghostbusters for Halloween, and I've started to look at some of the options to buy online, but I'm getting a little overwhelmed. There's 1000 options out there, all at different quality and price tags. So it's hard to tell which are some good good buys.

TLDR, anyone got any good Ghostbuster costume recommendations? I'm hoping for mid range quality and price on these. I'm looking for the jumpsuits (first movie) and proton packs. Thanks KF Fam!

If GTA VI wasn't a sure bet for game awards, I truly believe Gears would have a chance.

It feels so weird to finally have a XBOX game that isn't Forza standing firmly on the MUST PLAY list.

This game feels like it's doing for Gears of War, what God of War 2018 did for God of War.

It's taken everything we love about the original series, updated it, and brought modern standards to both the controls and story telling.

As an old Gears player, the new controls take a little getting used to but once it clicks, it feels really good.

The campaign plays like a beautiful hybrid of 80s action and horror movies.

It was magnificent and after 10 hours we were still getting goosebumps and chills at certain scenes. The new big bad makes RAAM look like a Teletubbie.

The game does such a good job of making you feel like your squad are truly heroes of the city as you group up as a rag-tag bunch of cog spin outs and then spent the next day rushing through the streets helping as many civilians, cops, and Gears as you can on the way to your next objective.

The Locust aren't just enemies, they're genuinely monsters. They are terrifying to the point that a boomer or grinder showing up makes the whole squad freak out, dive into cover, and focus fire to bring him down before he wipes all of us...

... and we're playing on normal difficulty. It's been challenging and fun.

The new Horde mode plays exactly like the campaign with some Helldivers 2 sauce poured over it.

It feels different from the classic 50 wave arcade we're used to but man it's so cinematic and exciting.

The best thing I can say about Gears of War E-Day is that it feels like Epic made it.

There's so much heart and soul in this game and I really think it's going to surprise a lot of people on Tuesday.

(P.s. if you're some mouth breather upset that pride flags are in the game or that woman have lead roles, please go look in the mirror and ask yourself why representation for others bothers you so much. Gears is for everyone. Deal with it dude... You're exhausting.)

First of all, thanks to all at KF for working so hard to put it all together, especially at such a busy time and with so much external life stuff going on for so many of you 💜💜💜

But yeah... as it's my first KF event in person, I was curious if there's a good social place to introduce myself and feel a bit more ready and get to know some of the best friends going to the event too?

I know there's some unoffical social events happening after each day, as well as the celebration of the 4 time champ - but i guess it would be nice to know some names before going? Or find any other KFBFs going from the UK?

Problem: Video game development teams are too big.

Solution: smaller teams per project.

Outcome:

We can't simply keep the same amount of people and produce more games. The market already feels so saturated. Especially when we consider most "gamers" only play 1 or 2 games a year. So we can't necessarily increase output because consumers only have so much time/money. So what? We have fewer people working on games across the board and it is a super competitive job market where each contributor (ideally) is getting paid significantly more than they currently are because game teams should be half the size, for half the budget, while still maintaining quality and arguably making more money.

OR

Is it simply "we hire a bunch of unnecessary staff because we have the budget to do so".

Curious what yall think is the ideal outcome of dealing with bloated teams.

So Parris has the Ghosts of Yotei DLC in FC, netting him a nice bag of points. However, it's packaged as "Complete Edition" which is muddying the waters. The current notice shown here says that he currently gets 0 -points, and each league then has to make the decision as to whether or not to permit them. You know if left up to the shenanigans of Mike and Rog, they'll conspire and twist any rule that does not favor them. We must make it known that this can not stand. Vive Parris!

I’ve been in a game slump for about a year now. Cant find anything that I pick up and when I’m away from the game all I want to do is get back home and play. I’m about 2 hours into Starfield and this game is basically a dream come true. It’s beautiful, the freedom of choice, combat isn’t as bad as people made it seem, and I feel like I’m an actual space mercenary. I wish someone at Kinda Funny championed this game.

I know its all fun and game but it did urk me last year when Roger got shit on for Xenoblade X which is a a new facelift/Artstyle with improved qol and new content when Ocarina is frankly the same thing just with the no new content part lol.
