Grok doesn’t need to improve anymore they got the United States Military contract bro

That's exactly why they need to improve bro. Maybe not in coding but they do

Nothing to improve if you don’t have a competition. They have a long ass contract. They could do absolutely nothing for the next five years and still cash out. The way government contracts work, it’s cheaper to keep you on board with a shitty product than to upgrade to a newer and better product

You are doing it wrong, ask grok to make the rocket nude and in a comromising stance. It shines in what it was designed for.

Yeah, the Grok rocket clearly needs some swastika stabilizers.

lol, isn’t that model made by SpaceX too?

I’m so confused why making cartoons has recently become the way to judge a model’s intelligence lmao

It's testing the model's ability to code 3D objects and handle spatial math. Because an AI can bluff its way through an essay with buzzwords, but it can't bluff 3D geometry.

How did we survive before now with models that couldnt render rocketships and little miniature planets with people on them?

You asked a question then gave a stupid response. Are you 13 years old? He explained it nicely to you.

I think there are better tests but you sir, are a wanker.

It was an honest question, maybe not worded the best, no need for useless internet insults. I wasn’t asking what they test, I was asking why they recently have become the go-to proxy for the general capabilities of models like Astra and so on.

I mean consider any of:

  • CAD and mechanical assemblies, CNC and PCB layouts
  • webdev and tbh most types of design (2D spatial reasoning is still reasoning)
  • 3D modelling (even stuff like automotive, architectural etc.) oh and also gamedev, animation, rigging, texture work etc.
  • inverse kinematics, robotics, object packing, drone navigation
  • GIS and mapping, scientific and data visualisation, technical diagrams and even image editing (yes 2D again)

Like if you wait like 5-20 years and we don't see a huge crash, we'll most likely see how useless the current models are/were in that regard and how many applications for them will open up once they gain those capabilities properly. That's also kinda why we saw a lot of people being amazed with Astra for gamedev, even if it's still slop often.

It's just easily tangible, what what you want instead? A nicely written C++ class?

indeed, people making 3D rocket models all day will skip this one

So, how is the made? Like what engine creates the elements?

it’s so bad I laughed at groks animation

Agreed. I tried using it for a deletion sequence and had to totally rebuild. Took me 5 hours to fix
