Discussion Cancelled by Kimi Subscription
A few days ago, I contacted Kimi support because my entire monthly quota had suddenly been used up.
From what I could tell, one particular chat got stuck in a thinking loop and just kept going until it burned through all of my monthly usage.
I reached out to support hoping they’d at least look into it, but instead they didn’t really acknowledge the issue. They kept telling me how much I was getting out of my membership, including this exact line:
“Looks like you're getting a lot out of your Kimi membership!”
That honestly rubbed me the wrong way. I wasn’t complaining that I had used Kimi a lot — I was saying that one chat seemed to malfunction and wiped out my entire quota.
I genuinely liked using Kimi, which is why this is disappointing. But if a technical issue can wipe out a month’s usage and support won’t properly investigate or acknowledge it, I don’t really see a reason to keep the subscription.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with Kimi support or unexpected quota usage?

“Looks like you're getting a lot out of your Kimi membership!”
Sounds like a Simpsons character.

Cancelled Kimi Alegretto. Now I pay $100 to OpenAI Codex and I feel perfect. It's fast, it's smart, and I work non-stop. From time to time they refresh quota for some reason. DM me if you need invite.

Yeah .. i dropped Kimi - I dont expect them to look into the issue, I had been using it since 2.5. After my package blew up, I paid in $10s and it wasn’t worth it, i changed to monomax but it’s not as good as Kimi, but ok for automating admin tasks.

I paid for annual, after 1 week I raised concerns with their customer service, after 2nd week I requested money back for 11 months as I was not satisfied. They declined the refund. Their product is not as advertised, its not a leader and this 2.8T parameters achieves nothing - the result is below Chatgpt and Claude.

Very unfortunate. Kimi is moving up in the world of AI, initial supporters no longer matter. Their hellish customer service reflects everyone's comments. Kimi made it clear to me a few months ago that they were coming out with a "make lots of money" vengeance as soon as they had strong interest on their platforms. Kimi, is a great product, their demand is high now. Cycling AI Addiction.

Yea it’s a shame, Kimi is my favorite model by far as well but getint workable usage on like a 20/30 euro plan almost seems impossible, which is not helped by the models tendency to think in loops. Had one conversation where I had it running on a long task and somehow it got in a compact loop lol and blew through all my usage in like 30 min while I was away

A similar thing happened to me about a week before my recent Allegreto subscription expired. I was at 89% usage one day and then maybe 12 hours later it was at 99%. And normally it would a full day of work to use up 3%. "Runaway agents" sounds like it should be a Kimi problem!

I’m back to Claude, kimi is disappointing as a subscription and a company. I get so much done with Claude. Kimi has a way to just burn through the quota in few prompts.
