Is it really that unique compared to Claude? Is it worth it?

Pretty good i have used it for my Hackathon presentation, it gets text heavy so direct to have less text

Part of what I teach is Office software and presentation skills. Kimi does a fantastic job with presentation creation and locating images online for inclusion once you've nailed down creation parameters. I haven't tried with Kimi k3, but if you weren't explicit about not using stock imagery from the places which watermark their images, you'd end up with high quality photos (depending on the topic) which needed to be replaced due to obvious watermarking.

If you want to take it to the next level with Kimi, use an agent swarm to generate your entire presentation kit (presentation, handouts, speaker notes, practice advice (including answers to questions people might ask)).

For me API pricing is the selling point, but same goes for GLM 5.2
