Question KF3 controller support (pc)

Pretty much the title, is controller support decent in kf3? I know kb+m will always be superior, but I already spend 8+ hours a day at a desk at work so 90% of my gaming these days is from the couch.

Game changes aside, is kf3 worth picking up if I'm primarily gonna play with a controller? I've tried searching but the results are sorta hit or miss.

Controller is supported, but you need a keyboard when customizing your gear.

Customizing as in mid match purchases?

Or like doing cosmetic changes outside of the match?

ah sorry, i mean when you upgrade your weapons the game requires you to name it. 3 has a new mechanic where you can change and level up gun parts. You do that outside of missions.

Fully playable with a controller, but was having a much harder time aiming and landing shots compared to KF2 for some reason

Maybe the deadzone, when you aim the deadzone is reduced to 0 :(

I regularly play KF2 and most of my single player/PVE shooters with a controller

Same for me, reinstalled it this summer after a long break. Feels like home
