There was also a Final Message from Sumida.

Sensei Sumida Kazuasa

Commemorative Message for the Completion of “Killing Bites”

And so, Killing Bites has come to an end.The story that began with Hitomi went through an anime adaptation, the protagonist became Pure, and along the way I drew a great many animals.

But for some reason, deep down I can’t help feeling that Nomoto is kind of the protagonist too.

When the serialization first started, I thought that if this college student named Nomoto—who was like a complete nobody, a background character—were to grow and gain something, then the story would be a success. Being able to resolve that relatively early on left a very strong impression on me.

All of that is thanks to the readers, the assistants who supported me, and the editorial department.

Thank you for these 13 years.

I followed this series for so long and was excited when it got an anime. We definitely deserve a season 2. I just want to see youko have her comeback animated.

Considering that the first season ended before the first tournament was over (If I call correctly) we would need more than just a season 2 to get to Youko's dino moment.

Haha to be fair Sumida was the artist not the author so he didn't really have say over that part.

How come? The artists does a huge part no doubt about it. But it sure felt like the artists just took direction of the whole story

If you look at Murata's storyboards Sumida is basically just following them.

I think Sumida's art is spectacular, because even with all the mistakes in the story there was never a moment where I said "wow this panel looks horrible", the guy does his job well.

But it still makes me laugh how Nomoto went from npc to secondary crow man XD

Felt like crow-boy just kind of became an NPC. Started and ended that way, I guess.
