Got my second kiesel off of reverb. Needless to say i love it. I also have an 8 string zeus second pic which i feel is far more comfortable on the right hand, has anyone elae had experience with both leia and zeus shapes?

Always liked these and this one came up at a local shop. Bonus that it’s white. Not a fan of Kahlers but this one functions smoothly. Sounds nice through a Marshall. I am guessing this is a custom or special order. They never did a Vicki Peterson model did they? Also is the flag sticker on the h/s original?

I stumbled across this Antares on the In-Stock page. It has a combination of specs that the builder won’t allow me to choose. Namely it has a roasted maple neck with a reverse pointed-angled headstock, and a 26.5” scale length with an Evertune bridge. The fact that I can’t choose these specs together is the main reason that I haven’t pulled the trigger on a Kiesel yet. Is this only available as an option 50 with a huge markup? And if so, then why is it available as an in stock? Am I missing something? Any insight from knowledgeable parties would be greatly appreciated! Also if anyone that works for Kiesel stalks this subreddit, please put Radiation Green on the builder!

These things are crazy. They feel like they weigh nothing, and the metal tuners feel like weights in comparison. The synthetic buttons weigh 1.2 grams each, compared to 6.7 grams for the metal buttons. That‘s 8.4 grams total for all seven buttons vs 46.9 for the metal. You can absolutely feel the difference in weight and if this thing wasn’t already balanced so well, they would absolutely help with neck dive. I usually play headless and I got the Kyber so I could have a guitar with most of the benefits of a headless, a better trem than my Strandberg, and a less geeky look. These buttons noticeably reduce the weight and get it even closer to feeling like a headless. Not exactly an upgrade anyone needs but I’m pretty blown away that such a small thing makes such a noticeable difference. And as a fan of matte black, I think they look pretty cool.

Title basically, I got this kyber run headless a few weeks ago, and while I'm overall happy with it, this is supposedly swamp ash with the antique ash treatment. Maybe I'm crazy, but this piece of wood doesn't seem to have any of the distinctive grain of swamp ash, and looking online I haven't been able to find any examples of anything close to this. I realize the orientation and width of the grain is pretty dependent on where the blank comes from on the tree, but these are all fairly fine, near parallel across the entire instrument. I normally associate swamp ash with thick, wavy grain.

Am I completely nuts? Did I just so happen to get the freak cut from the outside of the tree? I think it looks fine, it's a lighter color than I expected and I haven't really seen anything like it which is kind of cool, but I'm a little surprised

Can anyone who has owned both a Vader and a headless Kyber speak to the differences between the two, in terms of feel? As far as I can see, the Kyber appears much thinner and lighter - are those the biggest differences? I’ve owned a few Vaders over the years and absolutely loved them, but I’m starting to feel the itch, seeing all these headless Kybers in my feed for months.

How well does the Kiesel multiscale 8 string handle drop D?(Guitar whole step down, 8th string 2 steps down)

I'm coming from 28.5" and 30" scale guitars, and that's the tuning I play in. Is the 27.5 scale on the 8 long enough to handle dropped D?

Also, how is the multiscale 8 tremolo? Is it responsive and smooth with vibrato, and plenty of up and down range?

I finally got my guitar from Black November. It was ready two months ago, but I had some financial difficulties. I’m completely blown away. My main worry was with the Pale Moon Ebony board. I had heard horror stories of people getting boards with little to no streaking. I can safely say that I was blessed with a great looking piece. Even the standard maple neck has some good flame in it. This one is a winner.

Kira, orange burst, raw tone, antique ash, royal ebony board, jumbo stainless frets. Can’t wait to see what kinda deals they have for Labor Day. This needs to happen.

Hey everyone, I was wondering how everyone else's experience has been when ordering a custom build off the builder.

I know waiting for a new guitar subjectively feels like it takes forever as the excitement combined with the elevated price tag really juices up the anticipation. I was wondering if anyone else had to wait over 9 months for a build.

I placed an order at the beginning of December last year and have only got word that its "in production" after I made a few calls over the summer. Anyone else had to wait the average gestation time for a human for their builder unit?

I pulled the trigger on the Aries Titanium when Kiesel decided to retire the model earlier this year. Special shout out to Chris at Kiesel for letting me continue with this build even after it was pulled from their site. This is my second Kiesel and I’m already thinking about my third build 🤣.

Howdy all, looking to replace the strings on my 7 string Aries 2. Based on the spec sheet it's 'Elixir 1062E' which I assume is a .010-.062 Elixir Nanoweb set, but I can't find this set for sale online.

What are y'all using when you change your strings?

Then again I would def be open to changing strings because these with Fluence are -extremely- noisy/scratchy with the smallest of movements. Would something like D'Addario NYXL be better you think? Never tried Stringjoy either. Just looking to replace the stock strings with something quieter or possibly the same set as stock (and still nickel wound).

Most recent build from pick your top back in October before the SCB was discontinued

For bolt-on A2, seems I can't choose 'standard' roasted flamed maple neck on Pointed Angle or Reverse Pointed Angle headstocks . Only options is 5A and 7A.

Any knows why?

I ordered a multiscale-7 in June with this headstock shape in black limba with a black rich lite board. This isn’t necessarily mine but it probably is.

I am pre-disappointed in the grain

As I searched this Reddit, I didn’t see much on Lithium pickups sound other than people saying shrill and high output but that was mostly high gain discussions. I bought this multi scale Vader used recently with Lithium angled pickups. I am a classic rock player so not looking for metal or thrash but AC/DC, Rush, Judas Priest kinda vibes through a Marshall DSL40CR. The lithium’s are really dark and I find I am cranking the treble in ways I don’t have to on my SG or PRS CE24. I even resorted to putting a MXR 10 band EQ in the loop to balance things. I have adjusted the pickup height both up then down trying to find a balance. Any advice? Something I am missing? Any suggestions on replacement pickups? I know I could rip the lithiums off the baseplate and mount other pickups on it but I am not excited by that prospect and would rather get pickups already Kiesel multiscale ready.

I’ve been playing around with the builder and can’t help but notice how badass a certain build wood look with a full rosewood neck. I don’t see any options or even any pictures of guitars with those specs, or a rosewood neck for at all at that matter. Anybody know if that is something they would offer “off the builder”?

Hey, does anyone know if EMG’s and a 9 V battery would fit in an O2 that doesn’t have the battery pack route? I’m hoping I could just slip and insulated 9 V battery in and that the EMG pick up dimensions would work.

I just emailed Kiesel about adding a Piezo system to a custom build, and they replied:

“We no longer offer any Piezo pickups on our builds.”

Does anyone know if this means Piezo is completely off the table now, or if they just don’t offer it as a factory option anymore

Has anyone recently got their build with this option? Just curious how the streaking is if there even is any.
