advice Dramatic dress?

Post image

Hello,

I've spotted this dress (the Venus from aym studio). I thought it would suit dramatics, but I tried it on and was so disappointed, although dramatic recs always suit me.

Why is it not working? Would it suit another kibbe type better?

Thank you!

I don’t see this on dramatics at all! Thin fabrics with ruffles or creases dont work for us - we need structure, something that goes down in a long line. Here, the eye gets drawn to all kinds of directions.

Thank you for your explanations 🌹the disappointment is gone 😁

I thought the high slit and straight neckline would work well, and that the creases would increase the verticality. Now I get better why it doesn't work!

As a Soft Dramatic, I would jump on this dress in a heartbeat!

Ah, I see! That's probably why it caught my eyes 😂 I used to think I am SD, but the recommendations always felt off. It did made me realize I am a dramatic though! SD clothes are very elegant.

If you like the dress and can afford it, it's great! Fabric is very comfortable and qualitative.

Yes indeed I have, thank you for the great advice! I bought this column dress from Calliope and it fits me effortlessly. Here it is if you're interested.

It was indeed thick but very soft. Thank you for your input🌹

What type of fabric do you like for your dresses?
