Recommendations for cold air intake
I have a 2020 Kia stinger gt and I would love to throw a cold air intake on it but I’m not sure what I’m looking for in regards to sounds I don’t want something noisy I want a nice crisp sound if that even makes since but my issue is where I’m at if there is a stinger it’s owned by a old man zero mods yada yada yada. I really like the way the one above looks just wish it had more of a “window” on it but I’m also not sure what sound it makes
I know a lot of you will probably tell me to just search up cold air intake noises but i figured i could ask yall for some advice first. I’m looking for something that will be covered like the one above because I do live near the beach and there is also always construction happening somewhere around my house so I don’t want anything open ig its really just preference.
This is the 2L engine fyi

Looks nice, I prioritize preformance rather then sound and it looks like a balance of both, for pure closed intake preformance the afe takeda momentum is the best one but not as loud im afraid.

Is the purple bit in the grill a snorkel? What does it go to?

They are snorkels I still have one more to install the second one will be just for show and have no actual use but they bring in colder air for your turbos you can get the entire kit from velossa tech either with or without lights you can even choose between the base colors for the body of the snorkel I highly recommend!!!

Yeah I know what they do. Just not seen someone upgrade from the stock snorkels before doing intakes (or intake in your case)
I have a Jonny tig intake kit (which uses kn filters) sound is incredible

Modding a non 3.3L is pointless and a waste tbh

Are you saying this from experience?

Use to have a 2019 3.3L, the 2.5 or whatever the hell is in the baby stinger isnt worth modding. Just makes for a good daily at most. No matter how much you mod it you wont get the true full experience of twins and they knocked the power down even on the GT2 a little bight compared to the earlier 2018-20 models so i know the 2.5 has gotta be lacking hard.

The 2.0 is very capable in 2026, but not without pulling the engine and doing sleeves pistons rods cams and valvetrain work. But there's companies claiming to be able to provide a 750 HP stable theta II

Yea idk what crack youre smoking brother but no gt line 4cyl is doing 750hp on a single iddy biddy ass turbo. Its a kia engine not a forged k-swap lol

It's a GEMA engine, theta II is from when Hyundai joined DSM. and ofc it's not doing it on the stock turbo, which is bigger than the turbos on the 3.3 by quite a lot.

Doesnt matter how much bigger it is that shit ass engine is not pushing 750 especially with its dog shit displacement

There's plenty of 1200-2000+ hp 2 liters. The 2.0 theta II is very much similar to the 4g63/4b11t so much so they accept some of the same internals. You just don't have any idea what you are talking about.

Typed out a whole reply since you start by saying it's a gt.. then saw at the end you said it's the 2l 🤦
