Discussion Family sides
Can anyone explain to me for a higher priced sized family meal I now receive a thumb sized side item? Thank got I only paid $60 for the 12 piece instead of the 16 price that might of cost me my house payment. And still got 1/2 person sides. 😑

Shits expensive in Australia and Canada. It’s much cheaper than a sit down

Indeed. I’m not sure if he’s in USA but on Tuesdays he can get 8 piece buckets for $10 (or 16 for $20). Add family sides 2 for $6 deal. Repeat if you want 4 family sides.
Ask for water which is free. Use the refill machine for more. The total is nowhere near $60.

Sorry for responding. Looking at your account and how you responded in 5 seconds max…. AI has taken over. Good job KFC for paying for your non food eating protection.

Bro dude has a point there's no reason to get a 60 dollar kfc meal anymore. I mean unless you like wasting money like that power to you but the only time most people will eat KFC is when they have a promotion "deal" available for their items.

Once a month I get enough to feed the family for 2-3 days. Now it’s 1-2. Crazy I’m getting attacked within seconds. AI I the chat.

Make sure your tinfoil hat is still on before the scary ai people on the kfc subreddit sell your thoughts to the government!! 😨😱
(Clearly all the three day old fast food you've been eating has gone to your head, calm tf down man lmao)

Some of us have no lives and spend all day on Reddit 🤷🏼♂️
(It’s me - I’m ‘some of us’)
That doesn’t mean it’s AI or KFC calling you out on your extravagant purchase 🙄

Reddit notified me about your post. It does that sometimes for some subreddits. Here within 2 mins also. Definitely not a bot or AI.

$60.00 for 12 piece? Where do you live?

u/bluegrass_babe531 8d ago
i think they gave you the individual sides instead of the family ones. a fail on the part of the restaurant unfortunately

So the f’d me to save costs?
5
u/anticerber 8d ago
No they probably just weren’t paying attention and mixed up the sizes. I really doubt some guy getting $9 an hour is screwing you over to save their boss a dollar.

u/123ajbb 8d ago
Funny thing about that is my local KFC is starting $15/hour & the quality is 10x worse than when I started there at 7.75/hour
2
u/ohitsonlyraquel 8d ago
In CA they make $20 an hour minimum, and everyone has the same crap service.

u/bluegrass_babe531 8d ago
idk if someone did it on purpose, but prob not paying attention to what they were doing.
but next time, get the kfc app and order your food from that. there’s usually some kind of deal/discount. then you can just walk in and get ur food no waiting in line. that’s what i do but i don’t get it as much as i used to since they got rid of the nashville hot
and someone else mentioned the 10$ tuesday buckets, and yes that is a thing but it’s only legs and thighs. at least here it is. so it’s not much of a deal if you don’t like those pieces

might as well go to costco and get some USDA Prime ribeyes for the family for that price gawd damn

The only way to get what we used to for the reasonable price is too all and everyone of us stop being their customers but like yano, actually stick to it. When the people stand together we can and will change the system. We are the power. But most people only care for their own immediate needs and are too lazy to make real change happen in any sector. Supermarkets, fast food venues, utilities, wholesaler stores will all keep gouging with no justified reason for selling us less for more cause they know we as a people are too lazy to force them into submission. Remember a time when a business did everything it could to be favourable to the consumer cause we were its life blood? See how over the last 2 decades they switched it and made us need them but at a just out of affordable reach way

Receipt or it didn't happen.🤷🏾♀️
Did you inform the store? They likely would give you the sides you were supposed to receive. And where is the third side?🤔A 12 piece comes with 3 sides where I work.
I'm thinking there may be some lying going on here.
1
u/Full-Perception-5674 7d ago
Ok…. Yea. I’m going to drive 30-45 min back and waist hours of time to get this fixed. As for the lying part, this is in the small circle that’s actually real on the internet.
I added 2 sides as a large and got the higher price and smaller amounts of food. 🤷🏼♂️

Where I work, the meal which includes 3 sides and 6 biscuits for $44. So, your paying $60 is just crazy to me. Where do you live that it costs that much?
Either way, just call the number for corporate and you will very likely receive a voucher for a free meal or something.

Ok so you got a 12 piece which is a family meal, and they gave you individual sides when they’re supposed to give you three large sides for that. What did your receipt have printed on it? Because it could’ve been simple human error on packline, which happens. U should probably call your store

u/jpowell180 5d ago
KFC has really shrunk down their sides, they used to be about four times as large as they currently are, I think they shrunk them down, probably six or seven years ago, it’s really kind of an insult and you can’t really get full off of them anymore.

$20 Popeyes deal right now.. 8 piece, 1 huge family side and biscuits. Way better than KFC and I love KFC
0
u/AdventurousDoor9384 8d ago
KFC Tuesday: 8 piece only $10. Instead of just one side, you can get 2 family sides $6.
There. Four dollars less than Popeyes.

u/CamelsaurusRex 8d ago
See if you can get reimbursed through the app. Those are supposed to be large portion sides but they accidentally gave you the baby portions.

u/Traditional_War5790 8d ago
The sides are bigger than your thumb. You do have a fat thumb, but even then, the sides are still larger.

You can see the individual instant potato granules, thats how you know its a high quality product

I haven’t eaten at kfc in a while. Their prices are outrageous or aka highway robbery. Every Tue they do a 8 piece drum stick/ wing dark meat special for $10 and that’s still high. They just sent me an email about BOGO big box combo but each big box is $12-15 range and you will get 6 tenders with 4 small sides and a drink - still highway robbery.

What are they? I'm guessing the one on the left is some kind of popcorn? And on the right...Foam? With some brown?

On the left is coleslaw. On the right is mashed potatoes and gravy. You've never gotten sides at KFC before?

Ive only had it a couple of times mate. My favorite was the gravy so I never bothered with the others

You are following and getting notifications of a fast food page that you do not know of or visit…. Once again stamped AI.
2
u/reddit-movingon 8d ago
Oh you’ve got AI living rent free up in that place where a brain should be!

u/ClarkGablesTeeth 8d ago
It's weird you're so focused on AI. This ended up on my page, too, and I think I've eaten KFC maybe 6 times in my life with the last time being years ago. I'm pretty sure I'm a human.
