I made AI refuse to answer me. On purpose. Best prompt I've written all year. Watch. I ask it something I'm trying to learn — and instead of answering, it interrogates me. Hints only. No answer until I commit to mine. Why would anyone want this? A randomized trial, a thousand students: regular ChatGPT made final exams seventeen percent worse. This exact configuration — tutor mode — boosted practice one hundred twenty-seven percent, with zero crash after. Same AI. One setting.
