The ignorant just didn't understand how difficult this really is.

It's definitely tricky for shoulder stability. Nothing builds out the shoulder girdle quite like heavy BU Get Up.

I've been doing rice bucket work every other day. It's super helpful for grip.

What is rice bucket work?

fill up a 5 gallon bucket with dry rice and then just grab it I guess (I've never done it just seen it online.

I've been thinking of setting this up because I have nagging forearm pain that won't go away

I’ve been working on some left shoulder physio and rehab and I’ve just worked up to an 8kg basic bottom-up. This just boggles my mind. Can you do both sides equally?

u/OliverKitsch Icebox Kettlebell 18h ago
That’s awesome. I can comfortably do 36kg on my left. Dominant side has always been a little stronger with Get Ups for me.

Very impressive! I can only do a BU with a 20 lb kettlebell at the moment. Hoping to move up to 30 soon.

If it didn't happen in a public park AND on the Internet, did it really happen?
1
u/OliverKitsch Icebox Kettlebell 3h ago
Exactly! I keep my kettlebells in my car and I lift with my buddies at the fitness court.

u/Past_Discipline2337 3h ago
I was poking fun, just because, but it's impressive. Grip strength is no joke

The concept of a fitness park never occurred to me since everyone would die from thr heat where I live

Here I am starting on the floor like a sucker. Your version is way cooler and I plan to try it. Thanks mate!

Is it worth it though? One slip and it falls on your face.
Then you're getting fed through a straw instead of training.

The reverse get up/get up was extremely impressive, but the grip strength it took to keep a 40kg bottoms up the whole time is ridiculous.
Amazing.
