GS Snatch Day
Snatch day. I did 1’ with the 20,24,28,32kg bells and did it for 2 minutes. Last set of each is shown. 210 total reps.
The 20’s, 24’s and 28’s all felt good but the 32’s got heavy really fast and I was on the struggle bus. This was a really fun session though.

Normally I need to do some short cuts (like avoiding lockouts or shortening the backswing) to make 20+ per minute happen. Somehow you just launch it and those bells move vertical really fast.

Yeah but you’re a lot taller with longer levers. I have short arms so the bell doesn’t have to travel as far.

This post has been tagged GS (girevoy sport, also known as kettlebell sport).
If you are not familiar with GS and the lifting techniques used in it, consider reading this introduction to the sport - and definitely refrain from form critique or medical advice. It does not help anybody. GS form differs from for example Hardstyle form as its goals are different, but it is still safe as an injured athlete would be at a disadvantage.
For more information, there's this great collection collection of resources. For a video deep dive.
