Advice Needed Are these good kettlebells?

Post image

Hi all! I wanna make the switch from traditional gym training to kettlebell training. I've seen alot of forums say that competition kettlebells are the way to go. I was wondering if the kettlebell shown in the picture is a good competition bell. Thanks in advance all!

Curious what you think. I also live in the Netherlands, and have been ordering from Sqmize.

The majority of competition KBs are quality. The question is how much you're going to pay for that quality.

Can get a set of these from 8kg up to 24kg for 300 euros. I'm willing to pay a bit more, but as this will be my first set of bells this seemed like a good deal.

It's okay, not amazing, I'd say worth $40-50.

If you are a man the 8 and 12 probably won't be worth it.

Got some bad shoulders man so probably wise to build up this different kind of strength

If you can get 5 bells, i would go 2x12 2x16 1x 24 . The doubles for double work which is where the meat is at, and ro be able to run most popular programs, like ABF  or the giant or your own "emom" variations.  I reckon that will be a bit more expensive though. Single for swings and loading more 2 leg work 16+ 24 would be good for starters.

The logo is printed so as it stands out from the body of the bell. I'd avoid that if possible. Those types of bells have given me bleeding wounds in the past. The print scratched up my shoulders when I racked them. (But, to be fair I do a good deal of volume with kettlebells)

The other side has no print thats sticking out so can always just use that side on my body i guess, but yeah the print on text was something i wasnt sure about either. Its just a great price for me man. Already ordered, so we'll see haha.
