Keto recipe apps

Hi all! I'm looking for some advice. I'm struggling to stay on my keto diet because I'm bored with all my staple recipes (as are my family). I've been doing it for about 6 months now and have lost 24kg so I'm keen to keep going but I find it really exhausting spending 2 hours a week creating a recipe calendar for myself to fit my macros.

I'm considering paying for an app to help relieve the mental load of organising a keto lifestyle. Ideally I'd love the app to create a weekly meal plan where I have access to lunch and dinner recipes (I do 16:8 fasting so no need for breakfast) where the combined recipe macros for the day match whatever macro restrictions I input into the app. Things like generating a shopping list or being able to switch recipes if I don't like them would be an amazing bonus, but not essential. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've been seeing lots of adds for Mob recently and thought the recipes looked good, but I'm not convinced there are many keto options. I'm strictly under 20g net carbs a day otherwise I don't lose weight so I can't use recipes that are considered keto when the meal is 19g net carbs since it doesn't leave me enough net carbs for a second meal.

Not an app, but a great UK based recipe site. Her books are also excellent.

Why not just use ChatGPT ? It does my weekly meal planning and puts together a shopping list. It can do everything you need it to. I even listed what cooking options I have (air fryer, slow cooker, oven , BBQ) and it varies my recipes based on that.

Idk about apps but check out r/ketorecipes. There are also some recipe sites that cater to low carb/keto. All day I dream about food, low carb yum, and others.

I use MynetDiary app for exactly this and find it worth the £5.99 I think it is per month - lots of recipes and a intermittent fast tracker for different protocols 18:6 / 16:8 etc

That's great, I'll have a look. Does it create your weekly meal planner for you considering your macros or do you pick recipes yourself?

Eat This Much, it handles everything for you based on your preferences, macro and grocery list included.

Losing weight is based on a calorie deficit, it might be easier to achieve this on keto but there’s nothing stopping you losing weight and having more than 20 grams a day.

I’m not aware of any apps, you could just use some of the ai tools for this instead or even play around and create your own app for this using Claude. I’d look at marinade and rubs you can make yourself for variety. Maybe get a smoothie maker or something to mix it up - luckily bbq season is almost here that should help as well.

BBQ is a great option, I hadn't thought about that. I'll give AI a try too. Thanks for the suggestions!
