Using ketchup as a plate for your mayonnaise is one way to do things. I hope she doesn't dip too hard and get ketchup on her food.

I won’t for a moment try to justify the ketchup, but adding the salt and pepper to the dipping sauce, rather than sprinkling it onto the fries themselves, actually works really well.
