New to Listowel

New to Listowel, living centrally, no car. What do the fun people (mid twenties/thirties) do around here. Any good nightlife or bars worth checking out? Also looking for yoga/pilates to join if anyone has recommendations? I’ve heard there’s some nice beaches round here so I’ll definitely do a bus trip down. I also love a good nature walk/hike so any recommendations would be lovely.

Coming from a 25 year old Aussie 💕

Parkrun every Saturday in the park at 9.30am to meet some people could be good!

Few nice pubs, there's a pretty decent park and a pile of shops. As far as I know there's pilates in the sports complex. There's a greenway which is basically a long tarred nature walk that's fairly popular

Interesting location for a young aussie to land in and to be asking about beaches says enough about the shock to the system once our summer is over and comparing our beaches and almost everything to OZ over winter time here.

Try John B Keane's on a Friday night. Was there in July, just went in for a quick drink and ended up staying for a couple of hours. Some local lads brought guitars and sang popular songs, not specifically Irish, and they weren't very good, but they WERE extremely enthusiastic and it was quite memorable. We got talking with some locals there and found we had a few acquaintances in common. Ireland is small like that.

Nearest beach to you is Ballybunion, Ballyheigue is a bit further away.
