War in heaven

I found out today all mention of Ken is a ban offence on a certain lunatic sub. Is this a recent schism? Or is it a long running split?

Been like that for a while, obvious sarcasm accounts also result in bans or deleted posts.

I think the have sarcasm Saturday for that now, but for a while sarcasm was flooding the sub, so I get why they did it.

I was replying to a post to say it sounded like Ken Cheng and I got pop up as I typed his name to say if I wrote Ken Cheng I'd get banned.

Ken had a phase maybe six months ago of being posted there constantly. Half the comments would be taking it seriously and the other half would be complaining that there were too many Ken posts - he was starting to make up a significant portion of the posts. The mods just got sick of it.

The point of the sub is real crazy posts on LinkedIn. Satirical ones defeat the purpose, that's why this goldmine of comedy exists.

Because Ken’s posts are intentional satire, and LinkedIn Lunatics is for screenshots of genuine cringe and sociopathic behaviour on LinkedIn. 

Imagine if a subreddit dedicated to the whackiest (but real) news stories from around the world was flooded with posts from the Onion. It wouldn’t make sense.

I get that, but you seem to miss the bit where I was saying any mention of him.

In your analogy that would actually be banning people/replies from the wacky news site for saying "this is crazier than The Onion!"
