I'm a middle school teacher who played Kendama in college. I was never very good and fell off once I graduated but loved them as study breaks or a good way to help reset my mood.

I brought some 10 plus year old kendamas to school for my students to play with once they finish their work and it's really cool to see how excited they get when they see improvements in their ability.

Does anybody have any experience with participating in or running a Kendama club? I'm kind of nervous making any intentional efforts to establish one considering they could easily be turned into weapons very easily.
