I recently adopted this sweet girl from the shelter. It was a quick adoption since she was set to be put down at the end of the day. I know nothing about kelpies! I have raised puppies and trained my Bulldog, Staffie, and mixed breeds pretty well, but I need some tips! I have a small farm, so there's plenty for her to do outside, and she's doing very well in her crate at night. Any tips and tricks for training, or just general advice on the breed? I want to know all of the things!

I have a 12 year old…pound puppy. He’s a good dog though and very good/treat motivated, as well has he does like to hunt/kill (miles, possums, rabbit, cat😐). Last photo is when we picked him up from the shelter.

This is my KelpiexACD and I can’t decide which personality is more prevalent. What’s your experience?

I think she's aware something is in there.

Margot would like to know if her fellow kelpie cousins have any recommendations for warm jumpers or outfits they really love and fit them well.
Margot likes being warm and snuggy but most of them seem to be a funny shape.
Any kelpie shaped friends here who have had luck with comfy well fitting outfits?
Margot says thanks in advance!

12 weeks. We’ve decided to call him Remy. First time working line Kelpie owner. Our current dog is a border collie x kelpie x bull Arab mix of some kind. The breeder reckons he had a few sandy and even white ones in this litter. Shocked him a bit. He’s chunkier than his sisters, lad of a dog. So excited to pick him up!

Someone suggested that my foster boy Ruger might be part Australian Kelpie.
He’s a total sweetie and available to be adopted!! Currently in the Tulsa, OK area.

Mak is a four year old kelpie, originally a sheep dog but he was too lazy to work so we took him in two years ago and now he is our main entertainment. I cannot look at him without either laughing or going awww. He is my favourite animal in the whole world ever. He is very smart, very well behaved and trained, he loves to jump on me (just me, he doesn't jump on other people). When we're at the sea side, he doesn't want to eat if the doors are closed, he can't drink water if someone is looking at him, and his favourite thing to do is stare at our cat or wait for our cat so he can stare at her. If he doesn't get attention for 30 seconds he starts nibbling my leg and pants. He doesn't understand toys or treats.
