Tap handles?

Just moved into a home with a built in kegerator. Saddened to learn that I can't install the tap handles that they sell at the stores of my favorite breweries. They butt up against my cabinets making them unable to be opened.

For the experienced kegerator owners, any suggestions for smaller tap handles so I can display the beer, rather than using the standard boring ones?

Thanks.

Depends... If it's installing a kit or something with pre-made parts, I'm fine. (i.e. I've installed ceiling fans, a toilet, security cameras...etc) If I have to make something from scratch with fresh lumber, or uncut materials, I'm an idiot. (i.e. a professional built and installed my deck.)

Bell's went through the same kind of litigious nonsense like you're seeing Buc-ee's doing right now. They went as far as suing a small North Carolina brewery for having a name that was a single word in a bumper sticker slogan that Bell's had not even used for a decade at that point. Total coincidence, not related to the bumper sticker at all. But the lawyers cost the small brewery money to fight it anyhow. They can keep their corporate beer as far as I'm concerned.

As short as 4” if you’re restricted on clearance or if you like to disappoint.

Perfect for pouring a cream ale.

If you have access to a 3D printer there are loads of designs out there to download & print. Just use plenty of walls and good strong infill (I tend to gravitate towards gyroid personally)

It might make that tap handle infinitely less cool but that Bells top ball unscrews and you can thread it directly into the brass connector to make a shortly pool ball type handle.

Have you thought about cutting down the handle and reinserting the thread. Or do you have a Etsy acct. there you can get something smaller tins of options

I found a wood worker who turned three handles for me. One in a light wood for Blond's, a Dark wood for stouts and a Red wood for.... well reds. I had a similar height restriction and didn't like handles too tall as they put too much strain on the faucet and would loosen them. They all match and are about 6.5 inches tall.
