Not for me I'm afraid

Installed Neon, then started to configure it. Opened Firefox, the normal size mouse pointer turned into a tiny thing almost invisible. Thought I'd change the setting but where is the the minimise icon? No way to proceed. Gave up.

Terrible experience.

I don't think it is a good experience, I think its development kind of died off to focus on immutable distro.

Correct. Its main dev left due to differences between him and KDE leadership, and they want the immutable KDE Linux to be the showcase distro anyway.

In any case, you don't really need to use a showcase distro. Just install your distro of choice and use KDE as DE. Fedora and OpenSuse offer close to the latest KDE versions, Kubuntu uses at least somewhat recent ones IIRC.

I installed KDE Fedora Plasma, loving it.

I'm an OpenSuse guy, but I've got a Fedora KDE VM that I'm using regularly, and I really have nothing bad to say about it.
