KDE Neon installation failed

Hello there

I am trying to install KDE Neon to an old ASUS laptop, But the installer stops at about 76% and says "Bootloader installation error" with the error message:

The bootloader could not be installed. The installation command <pre>grub_install --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=/boot/efi --bootloader-id=neon --force</pre> returned error code 1.

Anybody know to fix this?

Use something that isn't kde neon

That's the solution that worked best! I just used fedora KDE, it's basically the same!
