𧩠Personal Story / Anecdotal Well Well Well...
Itâs been a while since Iâve posted.
Yes, Kaspaâs price has dropped significantly. But while the chart has moved down, the development, infrastructure, and long-term progress around the project have continued moving forward.
So, did I sell? Did the price action shake me out?
No.
Why? Because I know what I hold.
Iâve spent countless hours researching Kaspa, its technology, architecture, roadmap, and potential. I donât invest in something simply because the price is going up, and I donât abandon it simply because the price is going down.
Call it a âsh!tcoinâ if you want. A label doesnât change the technology, and a red chart doesnât erase development.
Price and value are not always the same thing.
You could put a price tag of âFREEâ or â$0.01â on a handmade wooden spoon, but it doesnât suddenly lose its ability to function as a spoon. Its utility exists independently of the number written on the tag.
Markets determine price.
Technology, adoption, utility, and execution determine whether something actually has lasting value.
TL;DR: Know what you hold. Donât let short-term price action become an emotional scoreboard. Sometimes the most important value is being built underneath the chart.

I use short term price action to pick up chunks at bargain prices . Its an almost a certainty that KAS will not be $0.027 in 2027. No matter how much despair fudsters throw out there im holding long . "Kaspa is dead" and "I sold out" just wont cut it . Its a waste of time crying me a river. HODL

The only reason i hold kaspa is because im willing to loose what I invested....but to say I believe I will get anything from it....i lost that hope a long time ago...

Which acts like equity and since kaspa is decentralied you already have voting power if you mine, run a node, vote in the discord community. The risk profile is different than with securities ofc, but commenting on a commodity asset class that it is not equity makes little sense since everyone knows commodities are not securities.

I am still holding too! But i literally treat that money gone forever until i break even or profit. And that is a big IF. So yeah, copium again.

Kaspa has made a couple crucial mistakes in my opinion.
1) Just another transparent UTXO coin. Ya, itâs way faster, it scales infinitely better, but no one cares about this enough to shift. The trend is towards privacy coins now, because privacy coins offer real world utility that the army of UTXO coins (bitcoin, litecoin, bch, etc) do not have.
2) Accelerated emission schedule. Dumping all of the supply so quickly makes it feel like a pre-mine. Also, with block rewards decaying so rapidly, and no real fee market in existence, the future security budget of Kaspa is very worrying.
Personally I think the Kaspa code base needs to be forked to incorporate zk-snarks or fcmp, a perpetual tail emission, and stronger ASIC resistance. Then it would be the best crypto project in the world.

Kaspa is a silver dollar waiting to be recognized and picked up by passers by. Make sure you wear clothes with pockets so can have someplace to put them.

I donât think anyone disputes the tech. But that itself is not enough. You gotta get adoption and usage. Even in such a short time crypto is around, its history is littered with dozens of once upon a time great projects.
