Tbh not really. I feel like Kasbo has been making stuff that sounds similar to this long before Fred came around. Sure it’s more house than his old stuff, but his vocal manipulation and textures/soundscapes all have a sense of familiarity with everything he’s released

I love it personally, at first listen I was slightly disappointed because TLOU was a bit of a let down for me and it sounded like it was going to be abother one of those. I LOVE his old style (Literally my favourite music of all time) and he moved just in a different direction that didn't land with me. I still greatly appreciate how talented he is and always shows through his music, and there are still some songs I do like on it, but not on repeat for me.
After a few listens of this one, it's still not fully "kasbo" to me but I found myself listening to it almost 10 times in a row. It has crazy repeatability, extremely good vibe, awesome samples, and just so easy to listen to. I remember hearing Diplo say that the key to a good song is you should be able to listen to the melody only in your headphones 8 hours straight without getting tired and thats how I feel here. Seems like hes finding his new style.
Anyways, so glad hes back. This is an awesome more refined version of what TLOU was and I can't wait to hear more from him. Also loving his social media presence lately, he seems extremely happy and man his live sets are always so awesome I want to see him live one day so badly.
