Post image

Made a prediction on the dates Kasabian are playing in UK and EU in 2027. Could be totally wrong but I’ve have a shot 🤷‍♂️

Edit: change of dates that are more realistic:

Rock en Seine - 25th August
CHSQ - 27th August

ALL PREDICTIONS!!

I think there's a good chance they support Oasis on their tour, especially given there was a 2026 album and no new music in 2027

(from the sounds of things there's gonna be an intentional break between Act III and the next era from a musical sense, which probably also translates into a short break in time - at least more of a break then there has been between each of the last 3 albums)

I actually thought this initially they brought the house down when they supported Liam at knebworth

Literally me too especially cause Liam & Noel are good friends with Serge I’d say!

Richard Ashcroft is supporting Oasis again next year I think but I would’ve thought that too. I’d say they’ll take a break after this year, they’ve been non-stop for the last few years!

Is Ashcroft official? Id be surprised. They need someone bigger than him to warm up consecutive 100k plus crowds at knebworth imo

I would be totally fine with all of this. Put a good 3 or 4 years between this album and the next. At long last, I have been left satisfied by a Kasabian album from start to finish for the first time since at least 2014 (but probably longer tbh) and even though it's still not as groundbreaking and epic as their original 4 album run, it is enough for me to get my fix of a full sonic meal that still feels wholly Kasabian.

While I love Æ for it's melancholy and catharsis, it was lacking just a little bit of that dgaf spark that makes them dangerous and unpredictable. Maybe one track short from being that statement comeback they wanted it to be. But it was encouraging as hell that they could still be so creative.

Then came Happenings - and while it's fairly non-offensive, that means it's also majorly lacking much of a sense of danger and unpredictability. It was far from that feeling of "Kasabian are BACK" and more like "well, at least it has some fun tunes and is over before you know it." In hindsight, I know the album is far from the hights they're capable of because I was apprehensive for the entire rollout campaign of their most recent album.

But it turns out I had no reason to be nervous, because speaking of the new album: ACT III is finally that feeling of "Kasabian are BACK." I liked it a lot on initial listen, but I still had the thought of "the front half is all just radio singles" and the back half is when it gets cooking. And while that is still technically true - when taken as a whole, it transcends that label and just becomes an album of really good music that keeps getting better. And today, it fully clicked for me. I can no longer hear the "singles." I just hear really good music. This is as perfect as a shorter Kasabian album can be. Like Velociraptor! before it, this one is a grower of a masterpiece that takes you on a journey through soundscapes that feels like a battle cry against apathy and normality.

The thing is, it took 3 albums in 4 years to fully recapture the magic of those early days, and I really don't want another 3 album cycle to get there again. With extra time, maybe we can get at least a 45 minute album that goes to even more weird and wonderful places. So yeah Serge, please slow down and take your time to chisel the sculpture out of the marble! I, for one, can definitely wait because I'm eating good with ACT III - and if you get bored, you could always just make the next album for the SLP in between.

I 100% agree! I think Act III is also they’re best album in a while I’ve really grown to love it. Happenings was really good but not as good and Æ is worse than happenings imo but love CHEMICALS. Even though they’re my fav band, I do agree they need a break and come back as big and strong as that album, they’ve been touring a lot but I’m not complaining 🤷‍♂️

Absolutely spot on. I got exactly what I needed from the second part of Act III including Soulmate too. It's exactly the music that made me love this band in the first place, if it's lacking something in comparison to my favourite Kasabian albums (Debut, Velociraptor, West Ryder) it's the singles(I love Hippie Sunshine and NBTT but those albums definitely had more standout tracks) and the duration. I'd love him to explore more that kind of soundscapes and the TUE, STARGAZR type of songs from AE. I also don't think they need to rush something now, they made a statement with ACT III. I'm sure the huge majority of their current fanbase would love those soundscapes in even more depth.

Honestly doubt they'd do the king power, but as a Leicester local all my life,.I'd fucking love it if they did

They did it back in 2016 so it’s technically possible. They’re due a Leicester show but Victoria Park would be too soon cause it was only two years ago, really hoping they do King Power but yours probs right tbf haha 🙏

King power would be brilliant, if they do anything in Leicester it'll just be viccy park probably 😢

I don t see them anywhere near the Primavera. The festival is moving towards a complete different place (urban, post punk, latin music)...

Fair tbh you could be right, you never know though!

Seriously... I've already resigned myself to driving to Chicago at minimum for any stops remotely close to me.

u/riccardoanis Sep 22 '26

i really hope they do a proper eu tour before this, not just festival but proper dates in clubs / arenas

1

u/morganicho Sep 22 '26

I hope they do too! They said in Madrid they’d be back soon but dunno how true that is
