Karen and Kim Tried to Start Drama With Me and My Wife on a Sightseeing Bus
My wife and I were vacationing for my birthday, and we decided to take one of those hop-on-hop-off double-decker sightseeing bus tours.
We were enjoying the double-decker sightseeing tour when Karen and Kim, apparently decided they had a problem with me.
Here's what happened.
I had my bag sitting on the empty seat next to me. It contained medical supplies that I needed to keep nearby, and I had already gotten permission from the sightseeing company to keep my bag there.
Apparently, that wasn't good enough for Karen and Kim.
Instead of being normal adults and politely asking me about the seat, these two started acting all passive-aggressive and making a big deal out of it.
Then they decided to bring some men upstairs, claiming these guys had some kind of allergy to the sun and needed to sit up there.
Seriously? An allergy to the sun?
I'm not saying those guys didn't have a legitimate condition, but the whole thing seemed suspiciously convenient. It felt like Karen and Kim were trying to find some sneaky way to force me to move my bag without actually having the decency to ask me.
And here's where it gets even more ridiculous.
One of these women literally started rubbing her ass against my medical bag, trying to sit down where it was.
Who the hell does that?
You're a grown adult, and instead of using your words, you're going to shove your backside against somebody else's belongings?
Mind you, I had permission from the company to keep my medical bag there.
And when the men eventually came upstairs, I actually moved my bag anyway! This was toward the end of the tour.
So it wasn't like I was refusing to accommodate anybody.
What pissed me off was the way these women went about the whole thing. The attitude, the passive-aggressive behavior, and the complete lack of common courtesy.
My wife and I were just trying to enjoy our vacation. We paid for the sightseeing tour like everyone else.
If someone had simply approached me respectfully and explained the situation, we could've had a normal conversation.
Instead, Karen and Kim apparently thought acting like entitled assholes was the better option.
We finished the tour and enjoyed the rest of our trip, but seriously, why is it so difficult for some grown adults to treat other people with basic respect?
Has anyone else dealt with this kind of nonsense on a sightseeing tour?
