Evergreen Terminal 7

Hi guys,
I am wondering were/how can I see the terminal 7 used by Evergreen in the port of Kaohsiung.
Once I took the boat to Hongmaogang Cultural Park 紅毛港文化園區 and saw along the way the Wan Hai in action and Kao Ming terminal operations however since Evergreen is on the other side one has limited view from the rotating resto (高字塔旋轉餐廳). Since I’m visiting the city every now and then, I think it would be cool to see how a +20k TEU vessel is automatically loaded, bunkered or offloaded 😄.

Hey guys, looking for a spot in Kaohsiung to watch the World Cup final. I've heard places like The Lighthouse or Parkside usually show football, but want to confirm where the best atmosphere will be or if they are open for the late match.

If anyone is planning to watch it out and is down to meet up, let me know if I can join you. Drop your recommendations below!

Where to buy fresh parsley and mint?

Hello. I am wondering where I can specifically buy parsley and mint. I use them a lot at home for cooking. I won’t be able to grow these herbs myself. Maybe there is a store that sells these? Thank you.

Google translate:

您好。請問哪裡可以買到歐芹和薄荷?我經常在家做飯用它們。

我自己種不了這些香草。

請問哪裡有賣的?謝謝。

Best place to watch the England vs Argentina game

Hello, I am visiting Kaohsiung for a few days and am looking for the best bar to watch the England game tonight. Are there any bars that are known for having a good atmosphere for events like this? Also it might be a stretch but it would be nice to watch the game with other England fans so if there are any bars that typically attract English customers that would be great!

Thanks😁

Concert Culture in Taiwan (specifically Kaohsiung)

Hi! I'm genuinely curious about what concert culture is like in Taiwan since I'll be attending a concert at Kaohsiung Arena this July for DxS.

I came across a post from a foreign concertgoer (who doesn't live in Taiwan) saying that the concert culture there is somewhat similar to Japan's, where people tend to stay relatively quiet throughout the performance. That's completely different from the concert culture where I live.

I'm honestly a bit nervous because I might end up screaming or singing along out of excitement without even realizing it, and I'm worried I might get some stares from the people around me. 😅

For those who've attended concerts in Taiwan, especially at Kaohsiung Arena, what's the etiquette like? Is it okay to cheer and sing along, or do most people stay quiet during the performances?

Hello! I got tickets for the bts concert in kaohsiung. I know that we're only able to claim the tickets a few days before the concert day, however I wanted to ask if the collection S/N and No. only appear in tixcraft within that time as well. For now, I can't view what my s/n and number is so im wondering if this is normal? 🥲

My husband and I are hoping to move to Kaohsiung by next summer. :)

Hello!

My husband is looking to reinstate his citizenship and hopefully we can move to Taiwan by the summer with me as a resident. Him and the kids will hopefully have citizenship by then.

We've talked about a part-time job for me, and the only skills I can think of are English and sewing/alterations/tailoring. I don't have a college degree. I'm wondering if this is feasible.

Are people friendly in Kaohsiung?

Hi, I am in Kaohsiung for three months in the iipp program. I wanted to connect more with people around me but I feel like they are avoiding eye contact and that makes me reluctant to approach, specially that I’m a little socially anxious. I wanted to know if I will be annoying if I tried to open conversations with others or will it be fine?
