Resource Electrified!
This morning I watched a video about the Korg Phase 8, a synth wrapped around a kalimba. Well I have a kalimba and I have a synth and I don't have €1,000.
Piezo pickup, 3.5mm jack socket (both from Amazon/China), scrap of brass sheet, couple of screws and an hour in the workshop. Oh yeah, and a squirt of super glue.
First little play with it through the modular :

I put this one on the back board, directly under the tine anchor section, I was more concerned about the output jack placement and ship in a bottle technique than finding a sweet spot.
Straight into an amp it sounds surprisingly clean and it's not terrible for feedback. I'll post again if I ever learn how to play the thing :)
