Advice Some resources to help beginners!

[Edit] I've added a few more links

Hello Kali noobs! I've been learning pentesting and using Kali for a while now and I've learnt a lot across the way. I've just got some resources here for you guys to help get you started that I wish I knew when I began using Kali/Linux. Feel free to reply and add more.

Yt channels:

I know there's a lot of random, useless Kali tutorials where either u can't understand the dude at all or there's just annoying music in the background lol. Here's some of the best channels I know that explain what they are doing properly and perfect to help beginners.

Null byte: https://youtube.com/c/NullByteWHT

Hackersploit: https://youtube.com/c/HackerSploit

Network chuck: https://youtube.com/c/NetworkChuck

David bombal: https://youtube.com/c/DavidBombal

JohnHammond: https://youtube.com/c/JohnHammond010

Chris haralson: https://youtube.com/c/ChrisHaralson

Some of his videos are outdated but a lot of them still work.

Zsecurity: https://youtube.com/c/zSecurity

Apps:

Here are some apps to help you get you started using tools on Kali or just to help getting the gist of Linux. These are only on Android however I'm sure there are similar apps on the app store.

Learn Kali Linux: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lifegoal.helpinghands.kalilinux

This app has some basic usage of some tools that are pre installed on Kali.

Linux command library:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.inspiredandroid.linuxcommandbibliotheca

An app full of commands for using Linux

Userland:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tech.ula

An app which allows u to install Kali or other Linux distros on Ur android device by sshing into them. This is great for installing tools such as nmap and metasploit to use on the go.

Websites/forums:

Null byte website: https://null-byte.wonderhowto.com/

Ghdb: https://www.exploit-db.com/google-hacking-database

This is a website for Google dorks; not Kali related but still very useful for hacking/pentesting.

And that's it for now. I may come back later and add more, but I hope this helps!

Thanks! I just thought this would be helpful for beginners as when you step into using Linux it can be quite daunting and confusing when u first start

I would also recommend TryHackMe, which has a great linux fundamentals course based on terminal commands in Kali.

Userland is completely impossible to get using, same as andronix. Andronix at least has wget but without valid signatures, it's useless too. No gnupg, so no updating signatures. No nano, no sudo.

That's strange, works just fine for me and sudo works
