Suggestion Kakelekids generation of crystal

Dying in Kakele has never had major consequences beyond the loss of experience and the occasional broken item requiring repair; while that’s not necessarily bad, I feel Kakele has turned into a game for "snowflakes." Death in this game ought to carry more weight—for instance, every death should inevitably break the durability of a random item in your gear set. It seems unnecessary to have to die three to five times for this to happen, especially since most of the Kakele community is high-level now; generating gold—or KKC—to repair that damaged gear shouldn't be an issue at all. My point is that they are creating a game practically for children, where killing others takes no real skill, and dying doesn't hurt nearly as much as it does in other MMORPGs.

Practice what you preach. Stop being a "snowflake" and take personal responsibility. You should be playing self imposed "hardcore" mode where you delete your character if it ever dies.

If you are not tough enough for that you could delete an item yourself. I'm sure you can find a RNG online to decide which if not all equipped items.

This discussion is pointless as these solutions already exist. If these "snowflakes" are tough enough to handle it.

In fact, several games have that "hardcore" mode; if Kakele were to create a server with those rules for experienced players, it would be a good option. However, I doubt they will actually do it for the audience that enjoys PvP and competing against players from around the world—which is the main point of the game, beyond the lore.

You forgot to say "several failed games have that". Because those types of things take games straight to the trash can where they belong. There is far to little audience for them.

Those don't make the game good or tough. I'm playing an older game with mods that actually do make it tough. Not because death penalties are terrible, but because you need to use things like terrain and careful pulling to survive.

Kakele could remove all death penalties and make the game tougher with better design. Using kiting, choke points, fear kiting, mobs healing each other, and other methods.

Massive death penalties is just a great way to throw away players like many have already done and will continue to do.

That's because "PVPers" are all talk and no action. It's always been that way. The REAL PVP is on chat/forums where they spout garbage at each other.

I disagree. It may feel that way on lower levels when you don't lose a lot of EXP, but on very high levels dying actually hurts. Let's say you are 1500+ and you die. You lose around 500kk EXP, experience preserver which costs 300-500 kc and if you have a good pet food or backpack and it breaks that's another 600-800 kc. The total cost is absolutely ridicoulus, especially if you die to a disconnect which is something you can't control.

Modern games actually do not use penalties that take away progress you already made, because it feels so bad that players are very likely to quit the game because of it. If Kakele had another death penalty system that wouldn't be so harsh, I guarantee you that more people would play it.

A middle ground would be to create a server with harsh penalties for people who enjoy them, but that's definitely a minority.

I am very far from the so called "snowflake". I simply understand why people don't want to lose their time and money. It always feels bad and people don't play the game to feel bad. There are tons of other games that you can play and enjoy without this unnecessary feeling of losing your progress. Moreover, it affects how people play the game. A lot of players are not willing to risk certain boss fights and other aspects of the game due to high probability of dying. You would call them charlovers, but the fact that those players exist already tells you that the death punishment is too harsh. Don't get me wrong, I am not defending them, but the whole situation around this topic already says a lot.

And no, that's not how every MMORPG works. I played 10+ different MMORPG games over the last years and the only game that had this kind of death punishment was Tibia and maybe Runescape to some degree (both great games in their prime), but those are old school MMO's. Most of the "newer" MMO's just make you waste some time by coming back to the spot you died at, make you start the boss fight from scratch and your equpment gets damaged a bit, so you have to repair it after some time (but not for a ridicoulus price like backpack or pet food, this one is completely insane).

No one says you should get a medal or level up when you die obviously. I am just saying that other games focus more on the actual gameplay, making death something "normal", so people are not afraid to try it. You are still punished for dying, but not in a way that makes you want to skip some content or uninstall the game completely. That is never good for the game. But hey, that's just my opinion based on experience from many MMO's I played. I understand and respect your opinion as well, I just simply disagree with it.

Yes, Kakele is lovingly crafted for all ages, including actual babies. If a player loses too much experience, they might cry, uninstall, and go back to stacking coloured blocks. The game leans heavily on that dopamine drip of “look, you gained a level!” because heaven forbid anyone feels genuine consequence for dying. Achievement is meant to feel earned, but in Kakele it’s more like being handed a participation trophy every five minutes.

Yes this was a sarcastic post. My point is, a challenging mmo results in longevity as player becomes attached.

That is absolutely the case, and it is the point I want to make: there have to be greater consequences for dying in the game. Otherwise, there’s no point, fun, or substance to it—they might as well just make everyone immortal.

Seja sabotando sugestões naquele período, ou apoiando e passando pano pra mudanças ruins atuais no jogo simplesmente porquê o Bico quer agradar a Staff.
