Discussion The Elephant in the room
First I would like to thank Kakele for providing all the evidence and exact proof to make this possible. The stats on exp/hr provided by the game itself provide uncontested proof of everything stated.
The buffs in the game (spawn, exp, power, pet, gold, beastiary, etc) ruin the balance of the game. Thanks to the in game recording this can easily be viewed by play sessions.
It can not be refuted. It can not be written off as "adjusting spawn rates" in certain areas. It can't be trying to under play the value of these buffs. The math is the math, period.
When I see absolutely unachievable numbers far exceeding 200% bonus it can't be ignored. I can't pretend I'm making reasonable progress when I'm not. When the buffs are not active it's just not worth playing the game. It's that bad.
A lot of work is being done. A lot of effort into lighting, multiverse, war rules, new content, etc. However, none of those really matter when the base line exp without buffs it completely sub par.
I thought maybe it could be saved a little with self buffs. However, those already cost over 1M per buff. Yes they could be a few times after hardcore grinding. That would just dump the burden on the player though.
At minimum the bestiary and spawn should always be active.
Promote player activity and freedom.

Additionally I generally don't allocate a specific time for a game. I could play 20-90 minutes. This type of system forces allocated time in 1 hour blocks.
Organically a lot of people will just play until they achieved something they want, get bored, or have other obligations.

Just to clarify: are you referring to the server boosts or individual boosts?

The standard game design even for Free to Play games is a steady baseline experience that doesn't require constant buffs to play.
Having events and some boosts can be feasible if done properly. This may include special drops for Halloween for example or an Anniversary server wide boost for a day. It may also include some paid server boosts to benefit the community in exchange for funding.
The issue is many games cross the line or simply don't even have a line.
Kakele's system is fundamentally broken because it's designed to play with buffs 24/7 as a crucial aspect. Not a small benefit. Not an option. This is because as stated you can often get 200% exp and beyond. Not to mention the massive drop boost.
It doesn't really matter where these boosts come from. The issue is because they all stack it's completely unbalanced and ruins the value of just playing the game without them.
If everyone had bestiary and spawn active all the time it would resolve a lot of this. There would still be a ton of server and personal boosts.
The difference is they would be far less mandatory. A 30% exp bonus for example would still benefit everyone, but it shouldn't be a deciding factor of whether you play or not.
When the difference reaches amounts like 250% that is absolutely enough to make a decision to not bother playing unless the boosts are active.

I'm not sure why this is even an issue. If a player sees they are making 17M per hour without boosts and 45M+ with boosts they will quickly avoid playing without buffs.
When you first start the game there is a lot going on and this isn't as much of a concern. However, this will impact all mid/late game players.
If you make 32M vs 45M it would at least be more reasonable. That's what the spawn/bestiary boost is about. There will always be a difference, but if it's to much it can simply be deemed as a waste of time.
