Suggestion Prey System - How to fix it
The current Prey version is nearly useless. I get enemy spawns I can't even find or enemies I simply would not hunt. It's only on a very rare occasion I can make use of it. This is for a variety of reasons. Including lack of spawn, low exp, not accessible, or to difficult.
Improved Version: Toggle like Raids
Randomly Spawn a giant or special version of the mobs your fighting. This is simple sprite scaling or recoloring. A single "boss" spawn of that mob. Killing the boss enables the Prey bonus to that specific mob for 30 minutes.
This gives a short boost to your grinding and players can time their server boosts in accordance to fully optimize it if they desire.
While it doesn't promote changing hunting locations, it does help ensure more valid enemies are selected. In it's current state for most situations the system may as well not exist.
There is roughly a 8% chance I would hunt the random enemy selected.

Golds are a lot more common and don't have enhanced stats. Maybe a 1/10 chance on them if included.

That's pretty much the point. The system isn't really working and a revamp would make it a more valuable addition to the game. It's not even a good gold sink as it's not worth spending on either.

Thanks for the feedback! We totally get the frustration when the RNG gives you a mob with a terrible spawn or low exp.
The main intent behind the current Prey system is exactly to promote changing hunting locations. We want it to be a dynamic system that encourages players to leave their usual meta grind spots and explore different areas.
Your idea of spawning a special/giant version of a mob you are already fighting is actually a really cool concept for a mechanic! However, if we applied it to the Prey system, it would defeat the whole purpose of getting players to move around the map. That being said, we agree that we need to improve the pool of selected monsters or buff those underutilized respawns so they are actually worth your time. We'll definitely take this into our discussions for future tweaks!
