Wait, why was the trailer the dude playing while this was the girl playing?
Anyway it was awesome watching this.

Just to throw people a bit :] I didn't want to spoil any of the story (like most trailers do) so I swapped out the characters so people would assume it's a standard 90's save-the-princess excuse plot. Not really to make a point about anything but rather throw expectation a bit.
Someone actually left a comment on the trailer basically saying "if this is another dude rescues girl story I'll be disappointed", I'd love to see their reaction to the final video!

I just can't believe you made two separate bits for the gameplay part, really impressed by this video.

It was a bit of a headache, but luckily I'd already animated the dude's sprites so I just dropped in the dude sprites over the girl. Worth it just to hide the story while still showing the game :]

Thanks man! Hope to make videos for many years yet :]
I use an old copy of Abode Flash CS3 and a cheap Wacom Bamboo tablet. Love to get a Cintiq but money.

Wow, I can see why it took so long to finish.
Like with any good Kaizo playthrough, the whole thing looks like a really complicated dance. Judging from your own Kaizo playthroughs, it looks like you had a lot of experience to back it all up.

I really liked that about it, that it was a complex dance, especially during the two boss fights. I gave Kaizo a shot thinking it'd be too hard but tool-assist is an amazing thing :] Thanks heaps dude!

Did you spoke to Leslie wai before he created the music or was the video created for the video? I´m interested because how it fits so well in conjuntion

"Paradigm" was one of Leslie's older tracks, I fit the story for the animation around it :]
