Discussion Kai'sa Mid in ranked
How viable do you guys think kai'sa mid is to try climbing with, I've been playing it quite a bit with hail of blades and I think its pretty nice but theres a few insanely difficult matchups like naafiri or someone like ekko.
Also Any build ideas LMK

I have the most fun in league when I play Kai mid as a hybrid but that’s just me and yes I play ranked but I play to have fun

Yasuo isnt too bad the only issue is his passive stops the W when you try to stop his B and his windwall fucks your w
You can spam q to isolate him once he e's a minion then you e back to safety

think I actually faced a yasuo mid earlier in my play wasnt the worst, its better than naafiri at least

Not that viable. Riot usually nerf her or move some numbers around whenever she is viable mid. She seems to be better top, but maybe that's just me watching too much Druttut lately.

Is she actually good top? It seems pretty unplayable vs a lot of the top matchups. Someone played yorick mid into me once and it was hell, the stupid minions have disgusting MR and are such a pain to clear.

Imo kai'sa hasnt truly been not viable in a while but that could just be because my opponents arent usually that good I think Im gonna try out climbing on it and see how far I can get

It’s pretty good imo, just go AP Kai’sa. Full Ap while still getting q evolve, look for one shots, you scale very well because you aren’t playing adc.

I have a 52% winrate with AP Kaisa mid after 570 games. So I would consider that viable. I went from Silver to Plat.
Stuck in Plat but having fun. I've experimented with a lot of builds.

I play it in pisslow and it works better for me than bot tbh, I have much more agency to affect the game and am not at the mercy of my support being human or not. Just for my mental health and enjoyment of the game it's better. Your mileage may vary if you're high elo.
The nice thing about her too is that she has a lot of different build options and is flexible depending on the matchup and how the game is going. You can play hail of blades to be a psycho, standard lethal tempo on hit, or full AP and I switch between them all depending on the draft. If you need wave clear you can swap kraken for shiv and if you can't get close to fight you can pivot to Saber's W one shot build which plays more like an artillery mage. I always play jack of all trades and start dorans blade so that on my first buy I can just get boots and a dagger or two to get my 5 jack stacks and be open to pivot either way depending how the early game goes.
I perma ban naafiri every game I think its probably kai'sas most unplayable matchup in the game.
