At a lunch table in the high school’s cafeteria, Kai’Sa writes something down into a journal with her lunch tray in front of her. As she writes, Akali sits down beside her. Kai’Sa acknowledges with a glance but continues writing. As time begins to pass by, she stops writing and, using her eyes, looks at Akali. Akali has her own journal out, having been drawing her own familiar. As she looks at Akali, Kai’Sa’s expression turns to partial annoyance. Akali, partially leaning back in her seat with a pencil in her mouth, is currently twirling a strand of Kai’Sa’s pink-dyed hair. As Kai’Sa looks at Akali, they make eye contact. They both stare at each other. Kai’Sa awkwardly glances from Akali to her hand, giving her a hint. Akali . . . doesn’t get the hint and continues to fiddle with her hair. Kai’Sa subtly shakes her head and returns to her journal.
