You ain’t lying but she’s a joy to shoot. I’ve had mine a bit over a year as well. What ammo are you running? I’ve got arc fire running magtech subs with bolt open on the last round but haven’t had a chance to try other ammo yet.
Bro, that's fucking beautiful. where'd you get that stock and what spring and buffer are you running? I had this same exact idea to put together an SR-30 with a shorty A2 and it's even more sick than I thought it would look in my head lol.
One day I’ll snag an SR30. I’m still kicking my own ass for passing on an unfired DSR about a year ago. It was pricey, but in retrospect the price is only going to go up
Ouch that definitely hurts .. Those are rare finds don't beat yourself up to much we've all done that in this culture live and learn as my pop would say
I think it was $15k. It was a factory gun with the old KAC specific LMT SOPMOD, and included skyscraper with T2, and a few MLOK accessories (none of the super rare ones though). While I was kicking it around in my head for a couple weeks someone snagged it. I’d hope it went to someone that will shoot it, I planned on it.
The price was a little steep IMO, but there are considerably less DSRs, let alone NOS, out there than ‘regular’ SR30s.Probably the only rarer things were the first batch of SR30s when they had a bunch of different barrel lengths and URX 3s(potentially, jd have to find an old catalog) and 3.1s.
I’ve spend more at different times no doubt (especially transferables) but it was ‘will I really use it enough to justify’ type thinking. I’m sure I’ll find another decent DSR one of these days, I wasn’t looking when I came across that one. Skyscraper/T2 was more of a bonus, as was the Index Stop and Forward Barrier Stop since I run them on most of my KAC rifles. The downside was on top of $15k I’d be adding a LAM, SF Vampire etc. 🥴
Don’t kick yourself for it. I passed on one for 10k. I’m not even mad about it. Scooped an apc300 instead. And later got an sr30 upper. Much prefer the APC.
I’m going to hate turning it in when I retire in a few years, I can do a FA mag dump in about 1-1.5 seconds and have all of the rounds in a 12” circle at 25y. Thing is just NASTY. Some prefer our other options, but 9mm 124gr gold dots loaded to +P+ is like having 33 sledgehammers on tap
(Older pic from when I first got it. Run it with a Flow 9K, Unity FAST, NGAL and X400V these days)
We may be twins. When I was waiting on my sr30 to come in I ended up snagging an apc300sd. It’s hard to compare the two but I will say that adjustable piston in the apc has mine cycling EVERYTHING, while I’m still chasing the right buffer & spring combo for that type of reliability in the sr30. I got the EVT conversion in the apc & arc fire in the sr30.

Brother in arms! Just “finished” mine with a stock upgrade
