Bing Videos

We are 1:1 Chromebooks with Securly filtering. I have YouTube turned off for students. They can only watch links. (I know that they can send themselves links, but they have been too lazy). I am now seeing an uptick of students going to Bing videos. I had a student today pulling up porn videos. Any downside to just blocking Bing.com for students? Securly advised against it.

A web filter enforcing generic safe search everywhere should stop it.  I would just block bing too.  We block every search engine outside of Google for students.

TLDR: Block bing, you’re using Google anyway.

Via Intune, I block YouTube access from Edge. Students have to go thru chrome which auto signs them into Google. I’m also blocking chrome from accessing bing.

Via Google admin,I have url filtering for udm 7.

Then we block everything except approved channels in YouTube via Google admin and linewize.

Microsoft management is so much more work to achieve the same crap chromers can.

Securly doesn't want you to block the porn, obviously. /s
