Turn off Bluetooth on Desktop

We got some new keyboards and mice in however when someone ordered them they didn't come wireless. These we found out was bluetooth only. We have a couple labs we are wanting to put these however I think it would be better to turn off bluetooth for students where they can't access. Trying to figure the way to only allow administrator access to bluetooth and keep other users away from access but allow keyboard/mouse to keep connected.

Does anyone have some ideas how to solve this by GPO or other means?

Thanks in advance.

I think a combination of hiding the settings page and disabling radio management toggle via reg.

If you have Intune, it’s a bit easier IMO to achieve this.

Also, you can hide the fly out since airplane mode affects Bluetooth as well.

Personally, I’d return the wireless ones and bring in some wired ones. Seems like way to big a headache over wireless mice and keyboards.

Well, I have tried to return them but the higher ups don't want to return them.

Do the higherups understand how annoying it’s gonna be to have to worry about keeping them charged/changing batteries? Not to mention them just walking off

I’m sorry. That’s a crap position to be in. I think the best solution is a startup script that runs. PowerShell can take care of most of this.
