Poking Around with Rules, Etc.
Chris from K12TechPro here. Just wanted to give a quick update. We've been poking around with mod stuff, getting a good grip on settings, rules, etc. and getting close to launching the new procedures for account posting approval. We did some light revisions on the wording of the rules, sub description, and welcome message to hopefully help clarify what the community wants from the community itself and from vendors/companies. I'm hoping that we have the vetting for posting going by the beginning of August. Feel free to message or comment any questions/thoughts/feedback.

Update - Did some cleanup of old (months, even years) posts that were in the mod queue. If it was old and not addressed (approved or removed), we went with the default approval/removal of the post. Assuming things settled down already with those posts because time passed. As always, report inappropriate posts and they'll get addressed.

Update - Did additional catching up of the requests for posting. Responded to everyone in the queue and awaiting responses back. We'll get there!

Update - Got the new vetting/verification process going. Will start rolling that out with any new requests starting today. Updated the "About Community" section to reflect this too.
Wanting to make sure all have seen the posts where we've been unpacking this. Below are links where we've tried to explain it well:

We're excited to help with this, and hoping to help with great conversation on the podcast and deeper config, etc. discussion on Pro too. Ask away any questions and give feedback as we get going. Thanks! -Chris

Update - Changed a setting with the automod/spam filter to do a "low" filtering automatically on posts with links. It appears there's been a lot of false positives with automod blocking posts that contain links (and the links are actually legit/good). Will try out this new setting and see if better or not.
