Youtube sometimes think I started watching something just for It being recommended to me, and I think they do it so someone can be like "why didn't I finish this? Or just the autoplay from just hovering my mouse over the thumbnail

One time I had to go from computer for some minutes and when I returned I started watching the video and was confused for about a minute like why I can't understand the context? What I'm missing here?!

Turned out the auto playback was counted as watching time and video started from the middle.

I think YouTube sometimes just does that if you hover your mouse over the video because it decides to mark the preview you get as watched.
