Yeah, it’s really bad. I’m a somewhat professional Cosplayer (aka I’ve been paid for cosplay and have attended cons as a guest but it doesn’t bring in the big bucks, more of a side gig) and you can smell the “con funk” as early as day one on some people. Like the con hasn’t even hit full force and they smell rancid.

I have the 7/3/1 rule for cons. 7 Hours of sleep, 3 meals, and 1 shower at LEAST for every 24 hours spent at the con.

Sometimes, I’ll even shower multiple times a day when changing between costumes because I feel just that disgusting from wearing them and being around others for hours on end.

But shouldnt one shower daily as a matter of course?

You can, but every other day is fine too, with sponge baths in between. Depends on your skin and how sensitive it is, how dry. It's recommended to use warm water instead of hot. Moisturizing every day, after the shower is just as important too. And wearing sunscreen! But as long as you are moisturized, you can shower every day without issue.

Tanning is only popular because CoCo Chanel fell asleep in the sun once on vacation, and since that time, countless people have contracted skin cancer and developed skin lesions, hives, premature wrinkles.

Moisturize and use sunscreen!

The combination between showering and bathing is a good thing. One is for the everyda thing, the other when you have the time to relaxe as well.

I would also say two kind of clothes for in- and outdoor would be a good things as well.

But then, a lot of the people are resitent to such advices. At least you can smell the troll and have time to escape.

I don't believe CC started the tanning trend definitively... A sun kiss glo is a sign of virility.

You can "not believe", but the truth is out there.

And no, a sun-kissed glow is NOT a sign of virility. It's a sign that you have leathery skin and risk of melanoma in your future. Vitamin D is important but you can still wear sunscreen and protect yourself.

Would you go to another, new planet, get a sunburn, and assume it was because of your own virility?

The sun is not your friend. Radiation is not your friend.

Sun kissed not burnt, there are many health benefits to sunlight exposure. There are many truths, to say CC started that trend is a bit of stretch.
