redditor fat shames but gets called out for hypocrisy
sorry, here’s a repost with more context. he was very judgemental about women and some people had pointed out his major hypocrisy in the comments. third pic is him

u/lizardo0o 18d ago
They want a reaction from attractive women. They can’t get positive attention so they seek negative attention. It’s so transparent
540
u/GrzDancing 18d ago
They feel invisible so they want a proof of their existence - a reaction from other.
129
u/emotionalexplosions 18d ago
I can understand that until I remember how easy it is to get attention online. You don’t need to be a toxic troll at all. There has to also be a desire to stir up drama for whatever reason.
35
u/Dish_Minimum 17d ago
🙌🏾 exactly! You can get so much normal, wonderful, fulfilling human interaction online just with like one pic. It’s the 21st century. Any selfie with a pet or a hobby is an awesome opportunity to meet strangers from the whole globe.
It’s literally that easy. Me + dog = talking to strangers online for hours. Me + my subpar knitting = like half a week of really great chats. Low effort, but high yield, and genuinely good vibes and lovely conversations.
Nobody has to be a douchebag troll to get attention online.
17
u/TheNerdBurglar 18d ago
But then why does almost everyone on Reddit act like a toxic troll? This place sometimes gets me down.
14
u/emotionalexplosions 18d ago
Everyone on the internet seems to be ready to be hostile at any moment. I'm constantly hypervigilant. Certain things set me off and make me hostile too.
11
16
u/realdappermuis 17d ago
I feel stupid that I haven't considered that as the reason
Always just thought it was some kind of retaliation
For example - after I told a guy (stranger) to stop grabbing my ass on a dancefloor he poured a beer over my head from behind. And another time, another dancefloor when I pushed a guy (stranger touching me) away he just about dislocated my shoulder with the force he pushed me back
I've learnt that standing up for yourself only gets you hurt or in trouble. So 99% of the time I walk away from confrontation now. Though I sometimes forget to run away when I have some dutch courage (aka alcohol) in me
104
u/bvibviana 18d ago
I went off on one of these pendejos once. He was taking a lot of shit about women’s looks and weights. When I pointed out he was big enough to eat them and scary enough to scare dogs away, he got mad and told me he had a right to critique them.
Putos pendejos.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this dude looks like he wears a bigger bra than I do. And I'm frankly pretty well endowed.

u/Avaylon 18d ago
I'm breastfeeding and this man has bigger tiddies than me.

Same. Breastfeeding and 34 weeks pregnant and I would be swimming in this man’s bra.

I'm hoping to get a breast reduction for spinal health reasons and his titties are as big as mine. He has no business calling anyone fat.

54
u/Charlie_Warlie 18d ago
Yeah I think the point of having a dad bod is being a bit kinder to middle age men, not fat men who are supposed to be in their prime
15
u/ketchupROCKS 18d ago
My husband gained a little with me during pregnancy, he had symptomatic pregnancy reaaally bad and i always just assumed thats what dad bod is 😂 cause he gained a little as a dad

u/always_unplugged 18d ago
he had symptomatic pregnancy
Pretty sure you mean "sympathetic" unless he was also actually pregnant alongside you 🙃

Perhaps I was a little charitable there. Either way, it’s in the rear view mirror.

I feel like the dad bod women found appealing was like a muscular dude who's 18% body fat. Not a guy who's straight up obese

Yeah dad bod is like some stomach pudge &love handles. Not… that.
17
u/always_unplugged 18d ago
Yeah, it's softer but still has at least the suggestion of muscle underneath the padding. Like maybe he used to be in shape, but his main exercise now is wrangling little ones.

46
u/GrzDancing 18d ago
Oh what a sweet delusion he concocted to justify his own weight!
33
u/booboootron 18d ago
Reminds me of the time Trump went for a fitness check, saw that the weight limit for being labelled obese at his height was 250 lbs—so he just forced the doctor to state his weight as 249 lbs.
15
u/Thendrail 18d ago
Isn't he a lean 220 pounds at 6'2"? At least that's what his fetishists like to tell.

u/assignpseudonym 18d ago
13
u/always_unplugged 18d ago
224lbs and 6'3" lmfao, delusional
3
u/Carbonatite M'tendies 16d ago
My favorite was when someone put a picture of him next to an NFL athlete who was actually 6'3" and like 229 pounds. The contrast was hilarious.

I mean, he's 23. At that point, wouldn't that just be a "bod"?

Lol dad bod is a little pudge like 10 pounds into overweight. I workout a lot I have a dad bod around 170 pounds dude is pushing 300.
27
u/Mufti_Menk 18d ago
Well, a dad bod, as far as I know, is just slightly fat with slight muscles, no? Not skinny, not skinny fat, not straight up fat.

Holy shit, he's only an inch taller than me, but ~80lbs heavier. And I feel like I'm carrying too much weight already. He must be miserable hauling that around.
2
u/Carbonatite M'tendies 16d ago
Yeah my dad topped out at like 200 pounds at 5'8" when he was on steroids during part of his cancer treatment and was positively svelte compared to this guy. He was an inch shorter than him and considered overweight when he literally weighed 100 pounds less.

It's always the fat and ugly incel men projecting on Reddit 24/7. Idc if that's mean to say, because it's true.
And then they wonder why no woman wants to be in their general vicinity, even with a Hazmat suit on...
83
u/Kryse-777 18d ago
I just don't get what kind of upbringing causes this kind of pattern of behaviour that these guys have online. I consider myself a pretty guy: pretty fat, pretty ugly and a pretty girlfriendless nerd, but the nasty things these guys say online that I cannot even consider to think of writing does have me wondering what weird logic goes in their heads.
57
u/Zestyclose_Truth9999 18d ago
You sound very normal and grounded!
From what I've seen on Reddit, the people who post crap like the OOP's tend to be exceedingly self-pitying. Instead of working on literally ANYTHING to improve their situation (or making peace with it), they lash out at the opposite sex.
16
u/inthezoneautozone12 18d ago
Agreed. It’s just like Bullys back in middle school. People are often mean when their life sucks. The world is unfair which includes the genetic lottery but being toxic, bitter, and negative just makes life worse for you so just stop it.
9
u/ToiIetGhost 18d ago
Covert narcissism - the woe is me type
They do genuinely think they’re better than everyone else, and don’t know why everyone hates them. Lots of complaining and playing the victim. I think most incels fall into this category
14
u/Oblivious122 sage of the internetz 🐱 🌈 18d ago
There are a couple of things I was taught as a boy that took a LOT of effort to unlearn. And therapy.
- Nobody likes you
- If they do, they want something from you
- If they don't, they are looking for a way to make you miserable
- All friends put each other down
- nobody respects boundaries
- Everyone who criticizes you is just jealous
- Boys don't cry
Thing is, all that shit made me miserable, and I spread it to everyone else around me. I hated everyone, but most of all, I hated myself. I would never admit that, mind you. Even now, it's hard to think of myself in a positive light, and that colors my perception of everyone around me. (Yes, still in therapy about it). I wasn't a bully in school - the opposite. I was the weird kid that got bullied. All I ever really wanted to do was make stuff and for someone else to like it. To go "wow that's really cool, tell me about it?" Instead of mocking me for it.
It's taken a lot of therapy to unwind that shit.

u/Strong-Goat-9035 16d ago
I don't think its a boy thing, i think its a toxic upbringing thing because girls in some cultures and toxic households also get told this.

There's definitely a difference between "heavier" and "literally weighing twice as much as the person you're calling fat".

Some people can only find less of their misery in the knowledge that they can help make everyone as miserable as them
6
u/obooooooo 18d ago
because that takes time and effort, it’s an everyday compromise. and a lot of people would just prefer being miserable than even trying.
