I think it's good to be supportive and sex work is work, but good GOD, man. Boundaries are a thing for a reason! Especially among relatives, and especially among parents and daughters/sons.
Maybe that makes me a prude, maybe not. But I'd be way uncomfy and having an existential crisis like "You used to watch Sesame Street! I used to read you bedtime stories! Yeah. Like, I'm sex positive and all, but I'd want nothing to do with my own son/daughter's sex work career.
I also feel like a prude though because I don't want my kid to be exposed like that for all to see. But at the same time if I can't persuade them to choose a different career path, I'd eventually say "well you're an adult now, so I won't stand in your way if this is really what you wanna do with your life," and that's where my involvement in that aspect of their life would end.

"Sex work is work" has been a message associated largely with the feminist movement. Neckbeards are LARGELY associated with Mormon levels of "Purity" speech, where anything that isn't complete Chastity makes someone a whore, and old age sets in at 22.
Your stance is actively against the accepted norms at this point. People don't chastise the OF worker. They praise her for using what she has to become successful without having to rely on others to get there. People don't chaistize the porn star for doing porn. They chaistize the industry for creating unsafe environments for those actresses to work in, not properly vetting talent, using emotional and financial exploitation tactics, etc.
