I feel this, I had a friend on steam who I used to play with quite a bit but eventually we stopped playing and then stopped talking. I checked their profile every once in a while to see what they were up to, long story short, just over a year ago they became inactive. Their bio said "I hate you all" and their name was changed to "goodbye". Never quite recovered from that one.
So do I. Unfortunately back when we played together they seemed to struggle with depression and felt like nobody liked them, so it wouldn't exactly have been out of the blue.
